Stingray
As children master previous levels our aim for our Stingray swimmers is strong stroke development and the introduction of Butterfly. Our skills are broken down in to small easy to master parts of the stroke and practiced as individual aspects of the overall stroke. The Stingray class is again taught over a longer distance and we now focus on all four strokes with a revision on all previous skills taught.
About Stingray
The Stingray levels will see increased distance now on Freestyle, Backstroke and Breaststroke as we introduce Butterfly and aim to fine tune the strokes taught in previous levels. We will isolate the Butterfly wiggle and kick allowing children to master each individual aspect of the stroke. At this time in our structured program we will introduce the children to tumble turns and dives whilst still ensuring an element of water safety throughout all our levels relevant to the ability of the children at this stage. The Butterfly kick and arm timing in our Stingray 2 will see the children then progress to swimming the full stroke fluently.
